What is Concrete Raising? Also known as mud jacking, slab jacking, or pressure grouting, concrete raising is the process of raising and stabilizing settled concrete. A series of holes are drilled into the concrete, through which material is introduced below the slab. Once voids are filled and the slab is raised to a desired height, the 5/8” holes are simply patched with cement.

As you can see, being half the cost of replacement, concrete raising is the most cost effective alternative to total replacement. What can concrete raising repair? The list is quite long: trip hazards, pooling water in low spots, slab pitching into a foundation, the bump as you pull into your garage, slab vibration, slab settling, uneven sidewalks, curbs, and gutters, etc.

Even better is that we can complete your project in hours, unlike replacing, which can take days! You'll be able to walk upon the concrete immediately after completion and drive upon it in one hour!

Please keep in mind that not all concrete can be raised. If the concrete is shattered or has a poured-in low spot, concrete raising will not fix the problem. In these extreme circumstances, Concrete Lifting Solutions will recommend replacement. It is also important to know that just a corner of concrete cannot be raised. However, a series of slabs can be raised to repair a specific corner. Also, concrete cannot be lowered. Concrete that has been raised due to tree roots or other factors cannot be lowered. Commonly, the only solution is to raise surrounding slabs to create a level surface or grind off the high spot.
